How do you know if you should join a Mastermind Group, or if it is right for your employees? The first question you should ask is, “what do I expect to get out of the experience?”
Is your only desire to go into the group and make connections with the members to sell them on your services? Most group leaders will not allow this, as it will have a negative impact on the group. It’s important to have a strong leader taking the group through their journey, to insure that you are not joining a group with a tons of pushy sales people, make sure you ask the orchestrator up front what the expectations are in regards to selling services within the group.
Communication is key, and the group’s leader should be easily reached and receptive within a reasonable amount of time. Most Mastermind Groups have educational material that is pre made and available, however if you do not have any access to communicate with the person who is presenting the material to you, your success could be limited. Often times the leader will provide contact info, and even a scheduled live feed event that is exclusive to your group, for question and answers.
Being a business owner, or manager is tough, and often times it means the most to just have a community of others who have experienced what you may be struggling with. Sometimes just the non biased advice of someone who expects the same thing back from you when it is needed, could be the most valuable asset to your success. Having a group such as this could be a definite stress relief, and the time that you would not spend stressing and overthinking would be priceless. Probably the most important reason to join a Mastermind Group, aside from the connections and networking opportunities, is the community support.
So to bring it all together, is a Mastermind Group something you should seek out? If you are looking for a community of others who need your help and are ready and willing to help you, the answer is yes. That yes only applies if the leader of the group is a strong communicator who is accessible, and the group is not full of selfish pushy sales people. That being said, let us know what you think, and feel free to ask any questions you need answers to in regard to whether a Mastermind Group is something you should pursue.
